Housing prices, particularly in Suffolk county, have risen, as wages have stagnated, creating a genuine cost of living crisis, and endangering generations of Long Islanders from being able to remain in a place they love.
We must work to combat the cost of housing by:
Banning private equity from buying our houses and creating restrictive and authoritarian HOA’s, while driving up the costs by pricing out working families from buying homes.
Encouraging public works! We can create federally guaranteed jobs by building housing, mixed family, and affordable.
Applying pressure and threatening to withhold federal funds from local leaders who refuse to create a less restrictive building codes, and zoning laws.
